Denver Area Real Estate – History
Denver has had a relatively smooth history, developing at its own pace and except for the Civil war era, it’s been an island of peace over the years. However Denver was originally called Dry Creek after a local creek which would dry up in the summer. It kept that name for 100 years until the town of Denver decided on a name change hoping to attract the railroad. The name change was not successful in that regard but was kept nonetheless. Denver is an unincorporated community though it did have incorporated status that was removed by state legislature in 1791 because they failed to elect a city government. The Catawaba Springs have long been a destination for people passing by and through Denver.
